Research Question: What are the positive contributions of undocumented immigration and how should the government deal with this issue in response?
Problem Background
The majority consider undocumented immigrants as a negative burden on the economy of the United States, a threat to its sovereignty and an internal security risk factor. However, there are various areas that anti-immigrants avoid to mention in addition to muting narratives on immigrant life experiences and positive voices to spread their agenda. The approach suggested for dealing with this issue involves removing immigrants from the country when actually the nation needs to create a system to assimilate immigrants for their benefit to the economy. In order to solve the problem of irregular immigration in a manner that creates a win-win situation, it is important to highlight how important this group is using evidence.
Why it Matters
In recent times, the topic of immigration especially from Central American countries into the United States of America has been very significant with calls to correct the issue without violating human rights despite the government being caught in activities that are to the contrary. This topic seeks to propose that immigrants whether legal or illegal bring in new energy that the society insecure about this issue avoids to comment on. In addition, considering the contribution of the United States towards the displacement of people from Central America it is only fair that it sees this issue from a tolerant perspective than one clouded by political positions. Generating information and documented evidence on the positives of undocumented immigration, the topic then seeks to suggest how well the government can deal with this issue to fully take advantage of the benefits. Because Immigrants already in the country will not be easily deported considering their huge number, it is important to integrate their contribution to the economy in the meantime. In general, this topic seeks to counter the majority opinion that undocumented immigrants do nothing but taint American pride.
