forced labor or both. The cruel practices of human trafficking violate the fundamental civil rights and therefore necessitate the need for action to counter the criminal activities. The United States state department categorizes human trafficking into two major classes that include involuntary servitude and sex trafficking (Farrell et al. 2017). Sex trafficking involves the procurement and the use of individuals for commercial sex induced on them through force or coercion.
