Part 1
The philosophy of physical activity incorporates reflection of physical/tangible and intangible objects in various ways that give perceptions concerning nature and the value of these perceived phenomena in our environment. Philosophy has been a significant contributor to this field in the definition of this philosophy. Philosophy has been a member of a cross-disciplinary team since it has provided unique evident information that complements and has been supplemented by data from other secondary sources. However, based on popular belief, there is no massive disparity between those who reflect and those who measure certain things. Scientists and philosophers have been modifying their conclusions as per recent research studies, data, perspectives, and ideological reflections (Clevenger, 2018). From the class, the module has learned the philosophy of sports in an academic field through kinesiology, examines the real meaning of sport, the connection between physical activities in sports with other practices like art and play, and other co-related sociopolitical issues.
Sports, in most cases, engage physical activities that contribute to bodily movements due to skeletal muscle contraction resulting from energy use. In most cases, physical activities involve bodily movements through sports, working, or other recreational activities. Philosophical perception shows that PA/movement plays significant roles by improving or enhancing people’s physical and mental health. And as a result, the sport has been incorporated into the education sector through physical education programs (Clevenger, 2018). Being a learner have found sports much interesting throughout my academic journey. Since high school life has been engaged in sports especially playing football. Philosophies have focused on sports and physical skill games whereby participants voluntarily participate in sports. Sporting includes a ball using legs, chest, head, and feet through a goal more times than an opponent. Through participation in sports, there is a close connection with play, resulting in goods that result from playing. My involvement in sports (playing football) has contributed much to my good healthy life. Since it has contributed to my improved health and physical fitness, it gives me excellent social skills that give me a sense of community by being a team member and making a living through participation in various competitions (Pot et al., 2018).
Part 2
The philosophy of PA/movement has contributed much to physical education. It involves teaching learners through a process that engages and encourages them to achieve their personal best goals in a safe and fun environment (Whitehead, 2019). Reflecting on my own life based on the philosophy of PA/movement has greatly influenced my perception or view of my future profession in nursing practice. Participating in these physical activities and competing against other people with different skills from oneself call upon creativity to enable me as a participant to outdo and win against them. Since creativity has been part of me since I began participating in sports, it has influenced my perception and view on my future profession. Because I believe that being a nurse calls upon critical and creative reasoning, I major in how to help people creatively through necessary skills. Intellectual skills have been much helpful in my real-life profession. Since I have gained valuable skills on how to relate with people from diverse communities and backgrounds (Whitehead, 2019).
Generally, the philosophy of PA/movement has significantly influenced how I will work and relate with others. This is because I have learned a lot concerning critical thinking and positively connecting with other people from diverse ethnic groups (Ballweg & Vetrosky, 2021). Through philosophy, I have learned how to distinguish what is excellent or worthy and what is not relevant from other people’s points of argument, which will help me peacefully relate with other people in the healthcare field. Research shows that in the philosophy of humans, people can interpret philosophical investigations toward social life based on metaphysical principles. This will influence my relationships with other people in the future. Since I will be able to understand the transcendent nature of humans and be aware of factors that affect their social life; therefore, I will be conscious enough when interacting with them and help them to overcome some issues (Ballweg & Vetrosky, 2021).
