The Edelman Trust Barometer
Introduction
What is the future of companies that relies on profits and not performance? An organization that aims at making huge profits without performance operates under huge debt and lacks recognition. An organization that wants to prosper in and emerge out successfully in the business world ought to adhere strictly to the set procedures of adopting set goals and objectives. Outlining of these goals is enough proof to allow the company to perform efficiently and avoid the possible fall. Profits will follow in sequentially if all these set objectives are adhered to.
What happens in a case where some of the public sector organizations cannot be accessed hence lacks ground in terms of criticism? Every single public entity ought to provide its financial information to the general public. This allows grounds for positive criticisms as to why there is the lack of progress in the case of one. Positive criticisms by the media community allow for the top management level to understand their weakness point and work to correct it. Public sector should be accessible at all times irrespective of the nature or setting of the public entity.
Can we blame the top management organs in the public sector domain for the inconsistency in performance due to their nature of not being responsible? Accountability in the public domain determines the future performance of any given public sector business. Being responsible to the loyalist and the subject determines positive thriving of the company. Just as I have said; “corporate leadership ought to demand accountability and authority”. This in itself is enough proof to explain the future of any business. Corporate leadership plays a major role in working to ensure that performance and profits targets are achieved.
A Report on the Public Trust
Trust in the public domain is an emerging interest across all the major players in this area. Employees do not trust their senior management in going forth for performance and development. This is arguably a major concern to the general public as they rights to access free information is violated. Revolutionary trend in terms of transparency is the order of the day; the public domain is being overtaken by NGOs due to their nature of withholding prominent information to the public. Controlling information is being phased out as this is an old operational framework. Effective and transparent leadership need to be streamlined in the public domain.
Provision of information is critical to the general public. Developing free access to information to the general public and the media is imminent for management in the public sector. Research parameters show that; most people looking for information use the internet search engines as their preferred channel for looking for substantive information for a business. Companies are not ready to provide fast information to the media; they withhold the critical information for fear of criticism on their performance. This should not be the case; instead, top management level in the public sector should be willing to accept positive criticisms as this helps them to trace their loopholes.
Top management organs should focus on ways of being responsible to the general public as this is the perfect driver of their status in the national and global perspective. UAE is the preferred country of choice as the headquarters destination for any multi-national company; this is due to their nature of free information.
