My father teaches me to dream is a one on one educative poem. These are words from a father to his child, words of wisdom from an experienced father with fatherly love. The poem presents a deeper expression of love as the father speaks to his child from experience. The larger picture of the poem presents advice from the older generation to the younger generation. The father in this poem represents a leader and a mentor from the older generation speaking to a young person. This is the best gift that a father can give to his children, Advice. The art chosen for the cover is a drawing of a man, a father. The reason why I picked this picture is that it illustrates a man reading a book. The book contains information that gives the man wisdom to advice his child about work. The advice about work inspires a dream in the child thus the title of the poem, my father teaches me to dream. Work is not easy and work should have a routine. There is not any person who has a directory to life.

Teaching may take different forms; however, it is important that all teaching inspire new thoughts in a learner. The teacher in the poem is the father who talks to his child about working. When he talks to his child, he is teaching his child about work. The learner is inspired; the title shows that the learner appreciates the father since the writer is inspired to dream. A dream is an inspiration to achieve something or live in a better situation. Teaching from the father to child is effective since the child dreams. The child who gets advice from the father cannot approach life in the same way as a child who gets no advice. Fathers will buy this book and use it as a teaching tool to educate and advice their children not only about work but also about life.

The poem presents passing of knowledge from the older generation to the younger generation. The older generation wants to raise greater leaders than themselves. The poem presents passing on knowledge to members of the young generation and make them better leaders. This is a situation where the older generation wants to pass the mantle of leadership to their offspring’s. However, before doing this, they want to be sure that the children are ready for this responsibility. The future must be left in safe hands; the father has made his legacy and now wants the child or children to take up their roles in leadership. This book will be a good sale to those fathers who want to raise a generation of better leaders than themselves. The book is also a tool for motivation and inspiring dreams.

Work is not easy and work should have a routine. The father wants his child to know that work is not easy but everybody has to work. There lies a deeper meaning to this; everybody has to find a way of surviving and getting food on his or her table. Nothing comes easy, a person has to wake up in the morning and go to work, which they may not like. The routine may be boring and monotonous however, it is the only option. Most people do not love working, they feel that it is too much yet they want to eat and drink. The father wants his child to grow up and be independent, working is the only way his child can be independent. Waking up early in the morning and taking the bus to work is the daily routine that workers have.

“Work is work”. This is the deepest statement from the poem. The father here wants his child to know that work is work. The child should not despise a manual job. The young generation prefers white-collar jobs; however, they are not available for everyone. Not all people can work in an office; people are talented and skilled in different ways. The young generation here is being taught to appreciate whatever they do for a living. Through appreciating the job, a person can develop and advance their career. All that a person needs is to have goals in their job and they will succeed.

The concept of work in the poem is revealed in a deeper way to the young generation. Work is a daily activity, and work is necessary. Everybody should wake up in the morning with a list of activities that they want to accomplish and they have to do them. The father teaches the child to dream and work hard. The book is a compilation of poems that guide the young generation to open their mind and understand work. It serves the purpose to understand their role in building the economy and being the leaders of tomorrow. Readers have the chance to get in touch with the reality by reading the pieces of literature in the book.

My Experience In Modeling My Expectations

My Experience In Modeling My Expectations

Introduction

Experiences play a vital role in molding ones expectations, desires and dreams about the future. Where one lives, the people around an individual comprising the family members, neighbors, colleagues, and teachers actually influence the direction ones life take through sharing of experience, looking back at ones life one cannot help but wonder how much the people around one and the shared experience have made what one is today.

Growing up with a sibling with a variety of handicaps is not easy. Abraham was born deaf and partially blind this in turn affected his growth and speech. All through his life Abraham who was older than me had to be helped to move around especially mother who had been his eyes, feet, and the source of inspiration to Abraham who was always jovial, whenever other family members were at home we took turns to look after Abraham with some neighbors stepping in to help look after him when mum had to rush somewhere. She managed to take Abraham to school which catered for the blind and deaf where he was taught sign language that the other family members learned to communicate with Abraham.

Despite the fact that I was young at that time, my older brothers and sisters told me what happened, and the reason why we were living in the slum and without our father, when Abraham was born life started becoming difficult to the family as Abraham needed special care and money to facilitate it was not forthcoming as dad was only a casual laborer and the money earned was no even enough to sustain the family let alone buy medicine that Abraham so desperately needed all this frustration led dad to his grave and that is when mum moved to the city with us to try and make a living and see to it that me and all my siblings went to school and believe me she made sure that me and my five other siblings including Abraham got the best Education. She would wake up very each morning. Take me and my other siblings to school and later she would go look for manual jobs all day at times, she was not lucky to get a job, but she always told us that one must not lose hope.

Conclusion

Since my mother’s death due to a terminal illness, my brother Abraham lives with me, and my two siblings. Abraham still needs attention and we have to make sure one of us is there for Abraham. At times friends also helps us to take care of him. Even though she is gone, her teachings about never giving up in life live in us and hold the family together. The issue motivated me to work hard and join the university so as to help children with special needs like my brother. My graduation was a year ago and currently am pursuing a masters degree in special education. Looking back and remembering the challenges I faced gives me the spirit to overcome any obstacles that comes my way. Abraham’s disability inspires me to work hard in that there is nothing I cannot achieve as long as am focused. This is because Abraham proved to the family that no matter an individual’s situation one can rise up and achieve his dreams.

My Favorite Ad

My Favorite Ad

What is your favorite AD?

The Pepsi ad is one of those ads that did not entice me at first. The first time I saw it, I thought it was a little dynamic. However, after carefully examining it, I came to realize the ad was what it was: one of the best ads of the year. The AD starts with a tease showing two Pakistanis quarreling over a bottle of Pepsi, this was just awesome. The ad had a lot of creativity and attractiveness. Pepsi is one of the companies that process carbonated drinking beverage and foods. What was the objective?

For many years most consumers of Pepsi drinks are teenagers, and those adult who are still young at heart.  Hence, the company wanted to expand its market by producing many products to suite each group of consumers such as water, tea, coffee, energy and sports drinks. They also included several tastes of its products to enable consumers to have wider choices. Does the Ad match the editorial environment?Pepsi come out strongly appealing to different cultures by stressing on values such as energy, enjoyment and relaxation. This makes it more appealing to the youth and those who are still young at heart. By linking its products to the local culture, e.g. in Chinese market it links itself with local pop stars, Pepsi has made steady sales.

Does the AD “personality” match the producer?

Pepsi has for a long time been targeting youthful customers. Hence, several of their ads have been accompanied with sports, fun and mostly music. Pepsi has entered into contract with many musical celebrities over the years to entice young consumers. What overall .gets your attention?

The company uses famous celebrities in promoting its products which has more influence on me as consumer. The company uses bright red white and blue ball-shaped logo which makes it easier for me to remember. In addition, the saving campaign, where their customers earn points on buying their products and sponsoring of events entices me to buy its products.

Do you use the product or the service?

I regularly consume Pepsi’s products especially when am thirst and when I need to satisfy my hedonistic want, i.e. to have a refreshing moment. In addition, Pepsi is a big sponsor of Super-bowl, and as a football fan Pepsi remain the sole choice for me. If not .does the AD persuade you to try?

Poverty Leads to Ill-Health in Children and Adults.

Introduction

There is a saying that health is wealth. I could not agree less with this statement because good health provides a basis for life. Without good health, life is fragile and meaningless. Good health refers to the complete absence of disease in the body. It is also the mental, physical, and social well-being of a person. I hold that having good health gives more meaning to life because I have witnessed first-hand how poverty translates into poor health. Growing up, we lived in a small neighborhood where all households were known to one another. This family was living at the corner of the street, and we are family friends. The Thompson family comprised of four children. Mr. Thompson was the breadwinner of the family. He held a senior management job at a renowned bank. Mrs. Thompson was a stay-at-home mother. She took care of the household while the husband brought in the funds to care for the family. However, a tragedy happened. The man was convicted of siphoning funds from his employer and he lost his job. Alongside his three colleagues involved in the heist, they were prosecuted and charged in a court of law. Mr. Thompson was lucky to have gotten out on bond and 1-year probation. However, following his misconduct no firm was willing to hire him. Although he did not serve jail time, this mistake turned around his life completely. He sold his car and mortgaged his house in an attempt to provide his family with a decent life. His wife had to step up and look for a job to help cater to the family needs, but the funds were barely enough despite working four jobs. Eventually, the Thompsons were kicked out of their house following foreclosure and forced to move out. The situation was terrible, and they ended up seeking accommodation in a shelter. They did not have access to clean drinking water and because of poor sanitation, they caught diarrhea and typhoid. They could not afford to buy clean drinking water and they ended up consuming contaminated water which made them sick. They could no longer afford health insurance and were left at the mercy of well-wishers to help them. This placed them at a great disadvantage and left them vulnerable to more diseases. Since they moved out of the neighborhood, we lost contact with them and all efforts to trace them were futile because they started moving from shelter house to shelter house before they could save enough money to rent an apartment. Without a doubt, poverty places both adults and children at an increased risk of sickness and chronic diseases.

Limited Access to Quality Healthcare

Undoubtedly, being poor leads to ill-health because poor people tend to lack access to quality healthcare services. I hold this perspective as true because if a person is poor, they do not have the money to foot hospital bills and medication. Poor people primarily work menial jobs for a living, and these jobs rarely come with health insurance packages (Clay, 2001). This places them at a disadvantage when they fall sick because they have to dig into their pocket for food medication costs. Worth noting, health-related medication is not cheap. The costs of health care will require a person to cater for consultations, tests, and medication. Additionally, sick people are also required to cater for transportation costs to the health facilities. When combined, all these costs can be expensive, and since the poor do not have resources at their disposal, they are likely to succumb to sickness.

High Risk of Infections

Another reason why I think poverty leads to ill-health because low economic status exposes adults to infectious diseases. Poor people tend to be homeless, which increases their risk of engaging in risky sexual practices like exchanging sex for money, food, and safety (Anvari-Clark & Frey, 2019). These practices place them at risk of contracting HIV. Poverty also breeds in food leading to HIV/AIDS infection. Even after contracting HIV, if a person is poor they will likely face hunger putting them at a greater risk of succumbing to the infection.

Stress Causes Developmental Issues in Children

Thirdly, exposing children to poverty and stress affects development. This is true because stress reflects in the educational and behavioral outcomes of children. If children are exposed to stress at home they will perform poorly at school, and they tend to develop truant behavior like using drugs and missing school. Low-income families tend to have fewer funds available and hence children do not get a balanced diet. This affects brain development and puts them at risk of developing chronic diseases like malnutrition. As such, children born into poverty suffer health-related problems, including mental health issues than children from high socio-economic backgrounds.

Core Values; Humanity and Compassion

In addition to the reasons mentioned above, the core values of humanity and compassion inform my perspective on the issue of wealth and health. I believe that one of the reasons is to live a happy and fulfilled life and achieve this compassion, and humanity should be at the center. Compassion defines true human beings. It is a harsh world and every day, we face unexpected problems and strive to overcome them. Although understanding each other is not easy, wise people try to understand other people’s suffering. I realize that not everyone will be well endowed with money and resources. Some people are more blessed than others while others cannot even afford the bare minimum (Sapolsky, 2018). That is how life was meant to be. As such, some people will have more money and riches while others are rather disadvantaged. It is upon us to help the poor to help make their life better and put a smile on their face.

Conclusion

In closing, low economic status places children and adults at an increased risk of sickness and chronic diseases. Poverty limits access to quality healthcare as poor people lack health insurance. Poverty also places adults at a high risk of developing infections like HIV and also exposes children to developmental problems. Life is not always fair. Some people have more than enough money to last a lifetime, while others struggle to afford one meal a day. It is upon us to show compassion to the disadvantaged members of society and help put a smile on their faces by giving them food donations or shopping vouchers.

Children of a Lesser God

In our daily lives, we interact with people who have minor or major problems in hearing. Despite their issue, these kinds of individuals are regarded as normal but treated in a special manner which will make them equal and easier to be understood by their fellow human beings. The film Children of a Lesser God is an example of movies which explain the lives of people living with these kinds of difficulties, and how people respect and socialize with them in the society (Davis, 46). Several scenes from the film illustrate how people with hearing impairment disregarded in the community and how these individuals fight to live normally with other people.

In the film, a deaf woman is seen being employed as a janitor, a post which most of the people expected it to be given to a person who has no such complications for easier control of the deaf students. Sarah, the same lady who gets employed as a janitor is termed as a former top student, a situation which no one believed that a student with such complication could end up becoming the best (Spirko, 18). She changes this culture of her people not upholding the rights of people of her condition as she is also seen running away from her own mother when she treats her completely different from other kids and women. Students and the staff are seen amazed by the fact the Sarah falls in love with James and the tow ends up well. Although her workmates do not talk to her, her students seem to be happy about her job thus this makes her happier to work at the school. It is true that people in her environment and community do not regard people with special needs as the same to them, whereby the mentality is totally changed by James who follows her Sarah even after the conflict and reconciles with her.

My Experience Studying In US

My Experience Studying In US

I got a scholarship to study in the US and I felt very excited about it. However I knew this would come as a challenge since it was to be my first time in the U.S and I did not know what to expect in the new country.I expected it to feel different since this was not my country and there were obviously different cultures and beliefs that the people had. This paper will therefore look at a situation where someone can feel different and how one can behave and handle such a situation.

When I arrived at the airport I felt I was given different treatment from other passengers not only from the staff in the airport but also from fellow passengers and people generally in the airport vicinity. I felt different because I was treated differently by people within the airport as compared to other passengers. This ranged from how the people spoke to me and even through their actions. It was a very awkward moment as the people there were looking at me in a funny way. Their eyes were full of suspicion and most of them avoided getting close to me. When I went to join a queue for collecting luggage almost everyone moved away apart from two young men and a lady who were Muslims and I suppose were also from my country. I chose to remain calm since I did not want any confrontations that would lead to a more uncomfortable situation. When I was taking my luggage the person who was handing them to me remarked “young man hope you do not have a bomb in there”. This came as a surprise to me since there and then I felt that anyone from the Middle East was stereotyped for being a terrorist or being associated with terrorism. This is a great problem of perception, this is among the many varied ways that westerners in the US and in my case that man misinterpret, is-characterize and stereotype people from the middle East. (Tristam, 2010 I told him that not everyone from the Middle East is a terrorist and he should not judge me based on that stereotype. as I walked from the airport to outside where I was to meet with the person who had been sent to puck m and take me to the school, everyone seemed to move away from me looking at my luggage suspiciously was not carrying a lot since I knew I would have to but new things there.

When I got outside the person to pick me had not yet arrived so I sat down next to a woman who was in the company of daughter. The girl was playing around and by mistake touched my bag; the woman quickly pulled her away screaming” don’t you know that these people do not like us”. It was quite uncomfortable since I did not expect such words fro her. Even if I am a stranger how I can possibly hate “them” and never knew them. This made me feel so bad since it was the least of what I expected from people in the US. The one to take me finally arrived and just pointed to the taxi that he was to drive me in, he never bothered to assist me in my luggage as I saw other passengers being assisted. This was shocking and when I got into the taxi he told me that he hoped that I had not carried any explosives from where I came from I told him that he could have searched me if those were his thoughts.

The whole experience at the airport was very uncomfortable, took various steps in dealing with the situation. First I accepted that the situation I was in was indeed uncomfortable and it was what I expected since it was my first time in the US and being from the middle east the people un the US and formed opinions of people from the middle east. I chose not to overreact and aggravate the situation any further, for instance I answered to the remarks made by the people there in a casual way so that I would not build any unnecessary tensions (WikiHow, 2012).

My experience with suicide

My experience with suicide is really scary. I know that we have all regretted things in the past and that is a normal feeling. But with suicide it’s different because people kill themselves to escape the pain they are in emotionally, which means it’s not something that you can just forget about or fix like most other problems. I have known someone who has threatened suicide before, and it was very hard for me because I wanted to take action but didn’t know what to do. An important part of suicide is letting other people know that they are in danger. An example of how this is done would be calling 911 or going to the emergency room. This right there can probably save someone’s life, but people don’t do this because they don’t want to make a big deal out of it and they just get mad at other people because they feel like they are intruding on their privacy but it’s actually life-saving information.

Various assessments that I would use to determine whether or not a client is suicidal are:

The BEDS Test: The Behaviors, Emotional States, and Thoughts Scale is a five-item scale designed to screen for signs of suicidal ideations and potentially self-harming behaviors.

The WHO Mental Health Interview Schedule: This instrument consists of eighteen probable signs of completed or attempted suicide across three subdomains:

1. Personal history (e.g., past attempts),

2. Mental state (e.g., psychiatric symptoms), and

3. Social factors (e.g., interpersonal relationships)

4. Beliefs about the future/death (e.g., hopelessness).

The treatment for suicidal thoughts tends to be dependent on a particular situation. In situations where someone is in the hospital and suicidal thoughts are present, the hospitals will often have a psychiatric evaluation. This is done by checking for suicidal thoughts, depression and also any other risk factors that would arise. This can be anything from previous episodes to drug use to family history of mental illness.

If a person has never been hospitalized before or had any previous episodes, they can be sent home with appropriate follow-up care depending on their risk factors and length of stay at the hospital. The follow up care could be visits with a counselor once every two weeks, going to outpatient therapy sessions or taking medication if needed.

“Some empirical studies have further suggested that certain religious and/or spiritual beliefs, practices, and/or affiliations may be protective against suicide” (Amato et al., 2017). This study found that among individuals who had a lifelong affiliation with an organized religion, the rate of suicide was lower than among those who were never affiliated with a religious organization. For me, faith has been an important factor for my own mental health and well-being. There is something about my beliefs that gives me hope when I am struggling and helps me see beyond what is going on in the present moment.

Childhood Development Theories.

Growing up, we lived in the suburbs. I have no recollection of what happened between the age of 18 and 24 months. When I was in my early childhood, between three and seven, I used to follow my father everywhere and would do everything he did. At this age, in every photo my father has a cap, I also have one and where he never wore one, I also did not. Between 7 and 11, I started going to school and was considered old enough to do errands and would not run somewhere just because I was asked to depending on my mood. From 11 years onwards, I was always doing stuff with my friends such as walking around the neighborhood together, swimming together and other such stuff. I remember diving into the deep end a few days after my eleventh birthday just to prove a point.

Using Piaget’s theory, in the preoperational stage, I could not understand that my father wore certain clothes depending on the weather. If he wore a jacket at the beach, I would as well! In the next phase, concrete operational, I did not have to ran and pant just because I was asked to “ran to the neighbors!” walking was enough as long as I went where I was asked. In the formal operational stage, I took a risky plunge into the pool because I did not want some fellows to think I was cowardly or weak. Abstract concepts became important.

Some of the incidents described above fit in Erikson’s theory as well. Deciding to walk during errands when I used to run before was me using my initiative to assert my power as in Initiative vs guilt. If I was drawn from something, I liked such as a game, I would walk even slower. Jumping into the pool was a classic example of me proving a point that I thought was important to my identity as in identity vs confusion.

Child obesity in America

Child hood obesity is currently prevalent in America making it a serious public health challenge in the 21st century. Over 43 million children in America are overweight.

Thesis

While there are many factors that cause child hood obesity, there are a lot of information about childhood obesity, this makes one wonder whether the information are facts or just misinformation

Obesity in children is part of their lifecycles

While most parent tend to think of their children as healthy as fit as fiddles, they argue that the fatness is just part of baby fat that their children will lose as they grow up. Some of the parent argues that their children do not take fatty food so their size is natural. According to …this is misconception because childhood obesity is not necessarily caused by food types that the children consume but there are other contributing factors such as unhealthful diet, lack of sleep, lack of activity as well as medication. In addition, the fact is that many children do not lose weight even as they go into teenage and may progress into childhood. Therefore, parent of obese children should not see it as baby fat because that is amiss conception and should seek proper intervention.

Obesity is genetic

On the other hand, many parents tend to think of obesity as a genetic condition that runs in the family and cannot be remediated. Parent argues that their parent was big, and there are big, so their children must be big because the plus size runs in the family. Body types are likely to be inherited, but obesity is not inherited. Most parent prepare the type of food that their parent fed them so it is also healthy to say that the cooking genes are theme. Additionally it is also advisable to argue that the salivary gland should be tamed, nevertheless, it is also important to have a healthy diet and regular exercise regime, this I only achievable by allowing children time to play as through play, the children improve their creativity, social skill as well as keep healthy.

Dominant obesity genes

Most parent fail to take action on the obese status of their children saying their children are obese and have the obesity genes, which they cannot correct. Additionally, the parent argues that their obese children will remain obese for the rest of their life. This is a very big misconception as these children once obese can shed some fats and will not necessarily remain obese their whole life. Some parent also RGUE that their children and responsible for their health, blaming a child for their obese status is wrong as it sets a mindset of shame and everlasting guilt. T this might lead to life time obesity in these children. Most children are obese because they learn bad habits from their parent while some parent fail to encourage their children to take up active life early in life.

While it is true that most children have a body mass index that is slightly higher than 95th percentile in comparison to children in the same age and of the same gender. It is important to note that most of the obesity “genetic obesity” is preventable through the right diet and exercise regime. Children with obesity are capable of shading more than 35% of their extra weight. This is mainly through exercise.

“Dieting” is the only Answer

Most parent in America try to put their children through rigorous dietary regime that involves the consumption of fad diets only. Though this may seem the best answer to consumption of snack and fast foods, it is not advisable to take fad diets that are commercialized in America.

The downside of this is never known to the parent of obese children because these fad diet lead to a quick loss of weight. These fad diets put a lot of stress on the Childs kidney and various internal organs. On the other hand, these diets never provide the appropriate nutrition that befits a growing child. Proper diet is a requirement for growing child as it helps in the development of skin, bones, teeth, hair and all other body parts. Most complication in life begins with poor diet and may be the cause of serious medical condition such as gallstones in the future life of children. Additionally, long term weight loss plan for children is important than short term plan.

Conclusion

Though weight loss is much safer and probably the most effective intervention, there are a lot of it than just exercise. Sustainable weight loss is important to the child than just one time weight loss, on the other hand, children should be taught about disciplined diet. Therefore, they stick to healthy diet and not diet, shunning fast foods as well practicing a lot. The current population is a sedentary population, this means that most of the pass time activities that children engage in are done either seated such as watching TV and playing video games, this can be blamed for the prevalence of obesity. Parent need to limit screen time and give their children with alternatives.

INTRODUCTION

Nutrition is a broad term that entails taking food and into the body, followed by the absorption of the nutrients from these foods. Several dietary products are useful for the maintenance of proper functionality of body tissues and organs (Sizer 23). The major nutrients groups for any foods essential to the body of human being are proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, fibres, minerals and water. Furthermore, these nutrients are important in provision of energy for ensure growth, productivity and maintenance of healthy body thus creating a strong immunity against diseases.

However, rapid changes have craved in the dietary sector precisely attributed by the acceleration in industrialization, urbanizations and market globalization (Hauschka 126). These factors have severely contributed to changes in the lifestyle of many people, with a significant number adapting to sedentary manner of lifestyle. Consequently, these changes have rendered to emergence of intolerable health issues that call for quick action in the entire population so as to remain within the scope of the growth and development. For instance, in America the situation is worse and the campaign for the need of feeding health-wisely has been intensive ranging from both government and non-governmental organization. It is widely known that the with improvement of the living standards most of inhabitants, diverse food availability and the accessibility of many services; this has generated detrimental health issues as a result of decreased health activities, inappropriate dietary patterns and increased intake of tobacco and other food substitute drugs.

Human body requires a significant amount of energy in order to remain versatile in the aspects of life. This suggests the need of replenishing the entire the budgetary on our feeding styles. Carbohydrates are bears the stem of the source of energy in the body, and it availability is diverse in legumes, milk, cereals, fruits, nuts and in some vegetables (Wedman 44). According to research by World Health Organization (WHO), individuals should consume about 40-60% of total calories from carbohydrates. This nutrient is known to control the metabolism of proteins and facilitate proper digestion with the efficient removal of the wastes. Endurance performance such as chronic fatigue and poor performance by the athletes is also increased (Best 142).

Harvard School of Public health recommended about 133 grams of carbohydrates per day. Nevertheless, people have turned to be real cannibals in the consumption of carbohydrates and this has turned to be a major health issue. Obesity has been common as a result of consumption of carbohydrate rich food along other causes. Study by National Academy of Sciences indicates that over-consumption of the carbohydrates alleviates the level of glucose and insulin acts as antithesis in its bid to lower these levels; subjecting the consumers to greater urge of feeding more (Hauschika 98).

If an individual turns carbohydrate to be his daily bread becomes a major course in remaining energetic but the problem arises when taken inappropriately and in great amounts. Excess glucose is normally converted into fatty acids by the liver and stored in the body tissues as fat. This creates big possibility of becoming obese and therefore the behavior ought to be rescinded. Glycogen stored muscles is useful in ensuring that the players are strong for the entire scope of training (Clark 230). Depending on type activity the carbohydrates intakes ranges from 2.5-6.0 grams per pound of body. Fatty foods should be avoided since Dr Alves, of Meridian Health Centre points out that they limit the digestion.

Protein has been a popular nutrient out of its role in building and maintaining body muscles. They are made up of numerous numbers of amino acids. Water bears eminence purpose in the body since it helps in regulation of temperatures and thus a reliable coolant. Different activities in the body works best in controlled temperatures and this purpose is achieved by the help of this component. PROCEDURE

I applied MyDietAnalysis 3.5, a computer program that is highly reliable in analyzing the individuals’ daily nutrient intake. I filled systematically in different fields as indicated on My-Profile tab in the computer program. I entered various forms of dietary that I ate on daily basis for a period of seven days. This work was made efficient by applying a command from the program that highlighted all possible forms of foods.

The computer program listed all the food types that I ate versus the corresponding percentage of their nutrients. After making full evaluation of my daily intake of the nutrient, I had to go for a change and recorded new nutrient intake for another of seven days. I used the results from these two studies in constructing ideas about making my diet healthier.

Questions

What diet would improve your nutrition?

The report generated indicated that I have much to do in order to remain on the safer side in connection to health. Most noticeable is the degree of lowering intakes of carbohydrates and supplement with vegetables and proteins. The report suggests that I do not take the appropriate types of food and this has triggered the imbalance attained. Besides, it is evident that I tend to overfeed and still I manage a poor eating schedule.

In addition to this, there is clear likelihood of being deficient of vitamins and fibres. This is proven from the poor intake of vegetables (at less than 30%) yet they are highly advocated to constitute vitamins and minerals. The report also suggests of the need of monitoring the intakes of fatty food as I can admit that I used to consume salads and cheese in most cases. 32% of my daily intakes consisted of mono fats and less than 10 % represented the vitamins intake.

What recommendations I had in terms of physical activities?

I analyze my lifestyle and am convinced that I have adopted sedentary lifestyle; thus I have to apply tactical skill to enable me reduce the weight and maintain fitness. I need to be engaged in rigorous exercises such as running up the hills, playing football and develop a habit on taking a walk in order to reach for a service instead of using a vehicle. The report shows that I have a poor intake of nutritious food and thus I have to resent on the bad habits. Still, I consider to be cycling during my leisure hours in order to maintain my bones and muscles strong.

Summary

It is evident that I have a poor diet budgetary despite the attempts to feed on different types of foods. Occasionally, I limits myself in feeding vegetables and fruits; opting for quick food. Even though I didn’t record high amounts of food daily, there is that aspect of overfeeding particularly in fat rich foods. Nevertheless, the supplement of watery food element remains to be critical for proper functioning of digestion process thus inhibiting serious health problems.

Conclusions

In conclusion, I understand of the need of checking at the food labels so as to keep off from fat loaded food. From the literature, these foods are supported by terms such as “hydrogenated” or “partially hydrogenated” hence not the best to consume. I need to choose protein rich foods such as soy and skinless chicken and at the same time avoid plenty of animals’ products such as eggs, cheese, fatty meats and milk.

It is also important to have a healthcare adviser who would be checking my cholesterol levels and offer consecutive guides. After all, for a healthy living we need to consume nutrients rich foods.
